  1. No, this should not be done. Because the hockey team is already in the slumps; with less sponsors, viewership etc.; this will only demoralise the IHF(Indian Hockey Federation) and all the hockey players. The hockey scene in India will reach to a new nadir.

  2. No, i dont think cricket should be made the national game of India coz if so then it may loose the importance which it gains currently and it will be very felicitious for rest of the world to sy that ” Indians love cricket just coz its their national game” and hockey which is currently our national game will be in a chaotic state and would even loose those few sponsors which it has currently.

  3. I agree,We r moving into the global arena not only in the field of competion, bussiness ,economy but also in sports and for competing in sports we need stron fund ,good infrastructure ,best sponsorship available. Moreover Cricket is associate with every Indian, they have there achievements, aspirations from cricket. It is not good that just in order to impress and alleviate someone we should leave the path of prosperity .Cricket brings a lot of Foreign money to India

  4. I agree bcoz one there is only one sropt at which Indian team is good.India can only think to b world champ in cricket too.but i m not saying that Government should only concentrate on cricket govt should look to groom other sport at which india is average or can do somthing.

  5. No.. i dont agree coz one must not forget abt the golden days of indian hockey when we made our every shot count.. Hockey is in a state of paralysis now and its malady must be doctored in the earnest!! Every sport has its leaps n bounds n hockey is in a state of recession now.. lets keep our faith in them…

  6. no, i dont think that cricket should be made national game bcoz of poor performance of our hockey team in the recent years . it is the fault of govt. that facilities r not given to the pklayers nd all the attention is diverted towards cricket. we stilll have good hockey players who can perform good if given proper coach nd other facilities like cricket players r given .

  7. now a days people r craze for cricket…so it doesnt shows tat u have change our national game into cricket…they are many others are also they in which players are doin wel but they are not gettin proper rensponse from spectators and govt…becoz lack of sponsors and proper facilities other games are comin up..even same thing s happened to our national game hockey…may be in future some other game may get much more craze like cricket then wat the situation tat time,…so its not correct to make cricket as a national game…

  8. achievements in hockey are far ahead of cricket.india has won 8 golds in olympics, last one in 1980,&only a mere world cup in 1983 to add to its glory.it’s just the neglegence on part of govt.&authorities to provide ample of facilities….if achievements are counted, what cricket has achieved is only a next to clean sweep in present india-australia 07 series.
